Dennis completed his Bachelor of Science in Design degree in 1979 as a Cum Laude graduate of the Clemson University College of Architecture. He then went on to attend Clemson’s graduate program in Genoa, Italy in 1980 and received his Master’s of Architecture degree from the Clemson University Graduate School in 1981. After interning with Intergroup Architects of Denver, Colorado he joined the firm of Munford G. Fuller & Associates in late 1982. Upon completing his architectural registration in 1986 he became a managing partner. In 1991 he became Vice President of Fuller, Ward & Associates and then President of FW Architects, Inc. in 1995. While experienced in both large and small design projects, his extensive portfolio includes, Educational, Civic, Theatrical, Commercial, Institutional, Religious, Healthcare, Senior Living, Adaptive Re-use, State and Federal projects. Dennis has been a governor appointee of the South Carolina State Board of Architects since 2001 and has served as its chair in 2004-2005. He has been a representative to the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) since 2001 and has served as the Southern Conference’s Vice-Chair 2008-2009. As a member, he has participated on numerous national committees and task forces including the Committee on Examination (2006-2009), the Architectural Registration Examination (ARE) Committee since 2002 serving as its chair in 2008-2009 and chair of the national Technology Committee (2006-2007). He was recently elected to the NCARB Board of Directors where he will serve through 2012. In addition, Dennis is a representative of the National Architectural Accreditation Board (NAAB) (2005-present) where he has visited numerous Schools of Architecture throughout the country in that capacity. | |
